James, (aka The Sleep Geek) Is one of the most prolific experts working with organisations, sports teams and communities in the world.A sleep coach and educator, he specialises in taking the complex way that sleep works and simplifying it for audiences large and small. A favourite with TV and radio, he is a sleep expert on BBC Breakfast, ITV’s This Morning, Radio 1’s Life Hacks, BBC Radio Scotland, and has made numerous appearances on TV and radio, including being one of four experts on Channel 4’s TV programme The Secrets of Sleep.
He is the wingingest sleep coach in football, having won five promotions, numerous cups, and a Europa Conference League title with West Ham United.He is still the only sleep coach to have worked with a WSL team across a season, and outside of football, he has also worked with numerous sports people with the likes of Under Armour, Sports Aid and TASS. Cally Robertson is an advanced sleep practitioner, having trained with EDS Training, the leading provider of training in babies and kids sleep.
She has over 10 years of experience working with children, including time teaching in early years education.
Helping families overcome sleep challenges in a respectful, educated, and friendly way is something she is deeply passionate about and her background in the theatre and performance means she creates and delivers content that is engaging and entertaining, that makes it easier for parents to digest.

Dr Lauren Davis is the UK’s only sleep vet who spends her time helping animals and pets get the sleep they need
As a vet, Lauren has specialised in small animals with a focus on chronic pain conditions, such as osteoarthritis. She also has experience of working with human health and had a senior position with a healthcare mattress company. She brought together these two areas of her expertise in her company Vet Relief, which creates mattresses that help support pets and animals better.

Neurodivergence & Sleep
Nikki is one of the foremost experts in neurodivergence and sleep In the world. She has worked extensively with children, young people and adults, particularly with ADHD and autism, and led the Therapeutic Sleep Programme for Neurodivergent Children and Young People in Eastern Cheshire for the Integrated Care Board (NHS)
Nicky was a nurse and midwife for 34 years before training as a specialist sleep practitioner in 2016. Her clinical background ensures all advice and support is evidence based, and that like all our experts at Sleep Unity, she knows when to refer on to specialist services where necessary

Louise Berger founded and leads the Insomnia Clinic at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, one of the few dedicated NHS services for insomnia. Under her leadership, the clinic has grown to treat hundreds of patients each year and was recognised as Clinical Team of the Year in 2018.
Louise is an Occupational Therapist specialising in sleep medicine, with more than a decade of clinical experience.
With additional training in psychology, and coaching, Louise takes an integrated approach to sleep care. She has developed practical, innovative ways to deliver CBT for Insomnia and is recognised for her expertise in behaviour change and promoting adherence in sleep therapies.
Alongside her clinical work, Louise teaches on a postgraduate sleep medicine programme and contributes to wider professional training.
Through this work, she helps build knowledge and confidence across health and social care, supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for people with sleep difficulties

Dr. Elesa Zehndorfer is our sleep and misinformation expert. In an industry where 30 minutes of sleep training 20 years ago allows a GP to claim to be a sleep doctor, we think it’s important that we support poor sleepers and those who help them in understanding the context in which sleep research and information is delivered.
Elesa has had a varied career A recognized authority on leadership studies and misinformation, she contributes expertise to Sleep Unity as a qualified personal trainer and former lecturer in A-Level Biology and research methods. She earned her PhD in Sport, Exercise, and Health Sciences from Loughborough University in 2006.
Her current focus on sleep and health misinformation reflects a natural intersection of her work across fitness, leadership, and misinformation studies. She is an award-winning writer, eMBA lecturer, and author of six books published by leading global publisher Taylor & Francis

With over 15 years of experience in health at local, regional, and national levels, Emmett is currently working within the Health Service in Northern Ireland, Emmett brings extensive expertise in co-production, partnership working, and health literacy, ensuring that services are inclusive, collaborative, impactful and meet the needs of those who use them.
In addition to his Public Health role, Emmett is an accredited Adult Sleep Coach and qualified CBT-i practitioner.
At Sleepunity Emmett will help us design, develop and deliver our work in the community and offer sleep coaching support to groups and individuals.
